This guide doesn't take service calls, so it has no reviews of its own and never will. The rating you'll see quoted around here, and on the service sites listed at the bottom of this page, belongs to ADRIUM Service Solutions, the licensed San Ramon contractor that writes and pays for this site (CSLB #1136642, C-20, EPA 608). This page shows the whole breakdown, with links, so you can go count them yourself instead of taking a number on faith.

The breakdown, platform by platform

Why it's written as "600+" and not one tidy number

Because there is no single number. Three platforms, three separate profiles, three separate histories, and none of them can see the other two. Google shows 171, Yelp shows 142, Thumbtack shows 290. Add them and you get 603. Any company writing "600+" is doing that same addition, whether or not they say so, which is exactly why the individual counts are printed above.

Yelp is the one worth understanding. Its filter quietly buries reviews it decides not to recommend, so the visible count on a Yelp page is always lower than the number of people who actually wrote something. That's not a knock on Yelp, it's just how the site works, and it's a good reason not to judge any contractor on one platform alone.

One company, one crew, one pile of reviews

The reviews aggregate under ADRIUM Service Solutions: the same owner, the same crew, one license. The service sites you'll see linked below are lines of that one business, not separate companies with separate review histories. So 603 isn't 603 reviews of espresso machine work, or of walk-in coolers, or of furnaces. It's 603 reviews of one shop that does all of it, and most of them describe home appliance and HVAC calls, because that's the bulk of the work.

We'd rather say that plainly than let a big number do quiet work it hasn't earned. If you're hiring for a specific job, read the reviews that mention that job.

How to check any contractor's rating, including this one

The rule this guide keeps coming back to: a rating that lives only on a company's own homepage isn't a rating. It has to have an address you can visit. Every number on this page links to the profile it came from, and you should expect the same from anyone else quoting stars at you.

  • Click through to the actual profile. If there's no link, or the link goes back to the same site, that's your answer.
  • Read the one and two-star reviews, and read the replies. How a shop handles a bad day tells you more than the average does.
  • Check the dates. Two hundred reviews from six years ago describe a company that may not exist anymore.
  • Verify the license separately at cslb.ca.gov. Reviews measure how a job felt; the license is whether they're allowed to do it at all.
